Program Mission
Program Learning Outcomes
- Liberal Arts students will demonstrate basic proficiency in written and oral English, and in a foreign language.
- Liberal Arts students will show a grasp of American and global intercultural and historical connections, and demonstrate familiarity with social science concepts and methods.
- Liberal Arts students will demonstrate an understanding of literature, philosophy, and the creative arts, showing how the humanities are central to a critical study of western and global culture.
- Liberal Arts students will demonstrate basic proficiency in math and science.
- Liberal Arts students will demonstrate a familiarity with the concept of engaged citizenship and develop the basic skills necessary to negotiate American democracy.
- Liberal Arts students will develop fundamental fitness concepts and skills that promote lifelong health and wellness.
- Liberal Arts students will show competency with modern information technology and research skills.
- Liberal Arts students will apply critical analysis to texts and arguments and fashion thoughtful, developed arguments of their own.
The Liberal Arts and Sciences A.A. offers a traditional university-parallel program for聽students who want to go on to a baccalaureate degree in any of the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Interested in becoming a psychologist, a writer or a historian? This is where to begin. Not sure? This is the place to explore your options.
Students who complete our Liberal Arts and Sciences A.A. degree are prepared for transfer to four-year institutions throughout the United States. If transferring to a SUNY school, they bring with them all SUNY general education requirements and can usually enter as juniors.

Transfer Opportunities
In order to ensure seamless transfer, students should learn as much as they can about their baccalaureate program requirements either by consulting a 六合彩开奖记录 academic advisor or a transfer counselor at the transfer school. Some four year programs automatically admit those with the LAAA degree, others have structured 鈥2+2鈥 articulation agreements.
Transfer to some colleges is guaranteed through an articulation agreement between 六合彩开奖记录 and the transfer institution.
